Bereavement Doula

If you have come to this page in need of support, you may be navigating some of the most heartbreaking emotions you have ever experienced. I want to tell you that I am so sorry for your loss. The loss of a pregnancy or infant can leave you blindsided. The emotional, physical, and spiritual shockwaves may not be anything you could have imagined.

You may be at a complete loss about what comes next. That’s ok. That is where a Bereavement Doula can assist you and your family.

You are not alone.

What is a Bereavement Doula?

A bereavement Doula is a trained person who serves families experiencing a loss during the perinatal time period. Including infertility, miscarriages, stillbirths, terminal diagnoses, NICU support, and infant loss. A bereavement Doula is similar to a labor/birth Doula, but with an expanded set of training, specifically in perinatal loss. This can look like holding space for grief, worry, pain, and fleeting moments of joy without judgment, empowering families to advocate for themselves, their experience, and their baby, or helping to interpret complex medical jargon.

Bereavement Doula Services are provided at no charge for families.
